Italian-style shaken iced coffee

Caffé Shakerato (Italian-style shaken iced coffee) is the perfect recipe to savour a refreshing coffee break on hot summer days. By now, this is a classic variation with all the flavour of espresso coffee.
Ingredients
  • 70 ml espresso coffee
  • 35g liquid cane sugar
  • 200g ice cubes
Time required 10'
Procedure
  1. Start preparing your Italian-style shaken iced coffee by chilling the Martini glass in which you are going to serve your drink.
  2. Put the ice cubes in the cocktail shaker and add the liquid sugar.
  3. Prepare a double-shot of espresso coffee using either a manual or an automatic espresso coffee machine. Once the double-shot of espresso coffee is ready, add it to the cocktail shaker.
  4. Close the cocktail shaker and shake it vigorously for 10-15 seconds.
  5. Remove the ice from the Martini glass, then pour in the espresso coffee, filtering it through a strainer.
  6. Decorate it with a few coffee beans before serving
